Use this form to configure system details used when importing leave requests from the Self Service module into the Payroll module.

Leave Request Settings

The settings on the main form affect how Self Service leave requests are approved.

Element Description
Leave Request Numbering Sequence Select the numbering sequence to use when creating new leave requests.
Leave Request Approval Map Select the Approval Map that defines how leave requests will be approved, or leave this field blank if leave requests do not require approval. Approval Maps are added and edited on the Assignment and Approval Maps (EP.20.50.00) form.
Leave Request Notification Template Select the Notification Template to use when sending notification emails. Notification Templates are added and edited on the Email Templates (SM.20.40.03) form.
Default Request Colour Select the colour that will be used to display records on the Team Calendar (MPES4003) form.
Employee Team Display Source This setting determines how employees will be selected for display on the Team Calendar (MPES4003) form. Choose from:
  • Company Tree: The Team Calendar will display all employees who are below the logged in user on the Company Tree (EP204061) form.
  • Employee Supervision: The Team Calendar will display all employees who have the logged in user selected for their Reports to field on the Employees (EP203000) form.
Note:
The Reports to field is only used to determine which employees should appear on the Team Calendar—it is not used anywhere else in the Payroll or Employee Self-Service modules.

Request Type Colour Tab

This tab lets you highlight leave requests on calendars according to their type. Available types are those that appear in the Leave Type field on the Leave Requests (MPES3021) form.

Element Description
Leave Request Type Select the type that you want to specify a colour for.
Colour Select the colour to highlight leave requests of this type.
Active Tick this box to indicate that the request type should appear on calendars as specified here.

Request Template Tab

This tab lets you customise the popup that appears when the mouse pointer hovers over a leave record on the Employee Calendar (MPES4001) or Team Calendar (MPES4003) forms. You can choose which details should appear in the popup and how they should be styled.

Element Description
Field Name Select the field to display in the popup.
Sort Order Enter a number to indicate where the field should appear on the popup. Fields with higher numbers appear below fields with lower numbers.
HTML Style Enter any styling to be applied to the field. This should be formatted as it would appear in an HTML <style> tag, e.g. color: red, or text-decoration: underline.
Active Tick this box to indicate that the field should appear on the popup as formatted here.

Settings Tab

This tab contains settings that affect the operation of the Self Service module.

Element Description
Allow Employees to update If this option is ticked, employees can edit details of the distribution lines on the Pay Distribution (MPES3012) form.

Onboarding Email Templates Tab

This tab lets you associate an email template with a user type, so that employees can receive an onboarding email with information specific to their user type. You can assign a user type to an employee on the User tab of the Employees form (EP203000).
Element Description
User Type

Select a user type that was created on the User Types form (EP202500).

Email Template

Select an email template that was created on the Email Templates (SM2040PL) form.

Active

If selected, users with the selected user type will be sent onboarding emails based on the selected email template.

This checkbox is selected by default.
