Overview

The Employee Self Service module of MYOB Advanced Payroll lets employees review and edit their own payroll details, submit new leave requests and review the status of their requests.
Note: The Self Service module is currently under development. The documentation for this module is in a draft state and is subject to change.

Managing Employees' Details

The forms in the My Details section of the Self Service module display the logged in employee's contact and personal details, employment and tax details, pay distribution information (i.e. how they are paid), and superannuation contributions. The employee can edit their own contact details, while all other details are read-only. The employee can also download PDF payslips for all of their pays.

Managing Employees' Leave Requests

The forms in the My Leave section of the Self Service module let an employee place a new leave request, review the status of the leave requests, and review their current leave balances. When submitting a leave request, employees can attach relevant documents, e.g. a doctor's note for sick leave.

Leave requests appear in the Payroll module, where they can be approved using the standard approval mechanisms in MYOB Advanced and inserted into pay runs:
  • The Leave Administration (MPPP5040) form displays all leave requests made in the Self Service module, and allows a payroll administrator to approve or decline requests individually or in bulk.
  • Once approved, leave can be imported into the Pay Run Details (MPPP3120) form, which will add leave pay items to employees' pays as appropriate.

Mobile Interface

All forms in the Self Service module (with the exception of the calendar interfaces) are available on the Advanced OnTheGo mobile app. A Self Service tile is available on the home screen of the app—tapping this tile gives access to all Self Service functions.
Note: The Advanced OnTheGo app is available for Android and iOS. The appearance of the Self Service module's screens in the app may appear different on each operating system.
