Update Pay Item ATO Category

Use this form to prepare for STP Phase 2 by updating ATO categories for pay items in bulk.

Form Toolbar

The form toolbar includes standard and form-specific buttons. For the list of standard buttons, see Form Toolbar and More Menu. The form-specific buttons are listed below.

Button Description
Actions Provides the following actions:
  • Change Phase 1 ATO Categories to Phase 2 ATO Categories: Automatically maps pay items to the new ATO category, where possible.
    Note: After performing this action, review all categories to make sure they are correct for their reporting requirements.
  • Apply Phase 2 ATO Categories Historically: Applies the reviewed changes to the current configuration and historical pay runs.

Table

The main table displays the details of each pay item.
Element Description
Checkbox You can use the checkbox to change data for multiple employees at once. If you select the checkboxes for multiple rows, changing information in one row simultaneously applies the same change to the other selected rows.
Description The detailed description of the pay item.
Payslip label The detailed description of the pay item that appears on an employee's pay slips.
Type The type of pay item that this item represents. For example, income or superannuation deduction.
Phase 1 ATO Category The ATO category that the pay item belonged to for STP Phase 1.
Phase 2 ATO Category The ATO category that the pay item belongs to for STP Phase 2.
