Leave Requests

The Leave Requests form shows the status of all leave requests you've made, and lets you edit or cancel any submitted requests that have not been processed yet.

Summary Area

The summary area lets you select the employee whose leave requests you want to see.

Element Description
Employee Select the employee to show leave requests for. If you are a manager, you can see the requests for any employee you manage; otherwise you can only see your own requests.

Main Table

The table on this form shows the details of your leave requests. Several tabs are available above the table to filter the list of requests by status.

Element Description
Summary / Reason for leave Descriptive text for the leave request, summarising what it is for or why it was requested.
Start Date The first day of leave requested.
End Date The last day of leave requested.
Units Requested Australia only. The number of units, e.g. days or hours, requested.
Hours Requested New Zealand only. The number of hours requested.
Day Requested New Zealand only. The number of days requested.
Weeks Requested New Zealand only. The number of weeks requested.
Leave Type The type of leave requested.
Status The current status of the leave request. This will be one of:
  • Open: The request has not yet been submitted for approval.
  • Submitted: The request has been submitted for approval. It can still be edited or deleted at this stage.
  • Approved but not paid: The request has been approved, but has not yet been processed as part of pay run. It can be edited, which will return it to the Open status.
  • Declined: The request has been declined and will not be processed further.
  • Ready To Pay: The request has been marked as ready for inclusion in a pay run (or pay runs, if the amount of leave spans more than one pay period). It can be edited, which will return it to the Open status.
  • Processing: The request has been added to a pay run, which is currently being processed. It can no longer be edited or cancelled.
  • Cancelled: The request has been cancelled. It can't be deleted or edited.
  • Partially Paid: If the requested leave spans more than one pay run, this status indicates that one or more of those pay runs has been processed, but there is still some of the request that has not yet been paid.
  • Paid: All days of the request have been paid, across one or more pay runs.
Request Date The date when the request was made.
View Leave Click the View Record link in this column to open the Submit a Leave Request (MP.ES.30.20) form in a separate window, so you can view all details of the leave request. For requests that have the status "Submitted", you can edit the request and click Submit to update it.
Cancel Leave For requests with the states "Submitted", a Cancel Record link is available in this column. Click this link to cancel the leave request. The request will be changed to the status "Cancelled" and it will no longer be possible to edit it.
