Update KiwiSaver Rates

Form ID: (MP.PP.23.21)

This form lets you update employee KiwiSaver rates to the legislated minimum rate for a financial year. For example, if you choose 2027, it applies the rate legislated for the 2026–2027 financial year.

An employee's rate won't be updated if:
  • They have chosen to contribute more than the minimum rate.
  • Inland Revenue (IR) have approved their request for a rate reduction.

Form Toolbar

The form toolbar includes standard and form-specific buttons. For the list of standard buttons, see Form Toolbar and More Menu. The form-specific buttons are listed below.

Button Description
Update Standard Pay Only updates rates for employees selected in the main table.
Update All Standard Pays Updates rates for all employees.

Main Table

The main table displays all employees whose Standard Pays need to be updated.

Element Description
Employee ID The employee's unique ID code.
Employee Name The employee's full name.
Pay Group ID The identification code of the pay group that the employee's pay relates to.
Pay Item ID The identification code of the pay item.
Pay Item Type The pay item type can be either Employer Super or Employee Super.
KiwiSaver Rate The employee's Kiwisaver rate for the pay item in that row.
KiwiSaver Rate Reduction This checkbox is selected if the employee has a rate reduction from IR.
