Manufacturing: Clearer Naming for Material Selection Steps

In MYOB Acumatica 2025.2.1, the material issuance process is now easier to follow, thanks to clearer names for key forms and actions. The forms previously known as Material Wizard 1 and Material Wizard 2 have been renamed to better reflect their purpose, making each step in the workflow more intuitive and easier to understand.

What’s New and Why It Matters

• Material Wizard 1 is now called Select Production Orders.

  You use the Select Production Orders (AM300010) form to choose which production orders to issue materials for and adjust the quantity to produce. The new name makes your task clear the moment the form opens.

• Material Wizard 2 is now called Select Materials to Release.

  After selecting production orders, you use the Select Materials to Release (AM300020) form to review and select the specific open materials that need to be issued. The updated name reduces confusion, especially for users who are new to material handling in MYOB Acumatica.

• The Wizard button is now called Add Materials.

  You click this button on the Materials (AM300000) form to launch a guided, step-by-step process for adding materials to a batch. The new label more accurately describes what this action does.
