Capture Payments

On this form, you can initiate processing of inbound payments (through processing center services) by using the information provided by customers about their credit cards. For details on configuring this functionality, see Configuring Payment Processing and Card Payments.

The form does not display documents that have applications to sales orders or unreleased sales invoices.

If the MYOB Payments feature is enabled on the Enable/Disable Features (CS100000) form, when you create a payment for multiple invoices of the same customer, and then capture this payment on the current form, the tax amount and subtotal amounts are calculated based on the following amounts: ,

The system then sends the data to the payment gateway. For details, see Level 2 Data Transmission During Card Payments.
Note: This form appears in the system if the Integrated Card Processing feature has been enabled on the Enable/Disable Features (CS100000) form.

Form Toolbar

The form toolbar includes standard and form-specific buttons and commands. For the list of standard buttons, see Form Toolbar and More Menu. The form-specific commands are listed in the following table.

Button Description
Process Initiates the process of capturing payments for the documents you have selected in the table.
Process All Initiates the process of capturing payments for all documents listed in the table, except for documents that are not ready for automated processing and require user attention. The system displays warning messages near the rows of these documents. You can review these documents on the Card Payments Pending Review (CA403000) form and open them for manual processing.

Selection Area

In this area, you can select criteria for the system to list payments you might want to process. Payments can be selected by date, statement cycle the customer is associated with, payment method, and processing center.

Element Description
Payment Date Before The latest date on payment documents you want to view.
Statement Cycle ID The statement cycle the documents are associated with (through the customers). Leave the box blank to view documents associated with all cycles.
Customer

A customer for which you want to view documents. Leave the box blank to view documents associated with all customers.

The list of values may be limited based on the current user's access role. You can select a customer whose settings permit the use of the branch, company, or a company group to which the user's access role is assigned (the Restrict Visibility To box on the Financial tab of the Customers (AR303000) form contains this branch, company, company group, or is empty).

Payment Method The payment method used in the customers's payment documents.
Processing Center ID The processing center to be used for capturing payments.

Table

This table contains information about payment documents created with card-based payment methods for which payments have not yet been captured.

An unlabeled check box that you select to include the payment for processing.

This check box is disabled if a document is not ready for automated processing and requires user attention. The system displays a warning message near the row of this document. You can review the document on the Card Payments Pending Review (CA403000) form and open it for manual processing.

Type The type of the payment document which can be Payment and Prepayment.
Reference Nbr. The reference number of the payment document. You can click the link in this column to open the payment document on the Payments and Applications (AR302000) form.
Payment Date The date of the payment document.
Payment Period The financial period to which the payment belongs.
Customer ID The identifier of the customer whose payment document is listed.
Customer Name The name of the customer.
Location The customer location associated with the sale.
Description A description of the payment.
Status The status of the payment.
Currency The currency of the payment.
Payment Amount The amount of the payment.
Balance The unapplied amount of the payment.
Cash Discount Balance The unused amount of the available cash discount, if any.
Processing Status The processing status of the card payment.
Card/Account Nbr. The identifier of the credit card used for the payment.
Expired A check box that indicates (if selected) that the pre-authorization of the payment has expired.
Proc. Center ID The processing center used in the payment document.
Name The name of the processing center.
Error Descr. An error description if any error has occurred during processing.
