Inventory Transaction Summary

Note: This form is available only if the Inventory feature is enabled on the Enable/Disable Features (CS100000) form.

You use this form to check the inventory balance for the selected financial period and to view summary information about inventory transactions posted within this period. You can use selection criteria to display only particular data.

Form Toolbar

The form toolbar includes standard and form-specific buttons and commands. For the list of standard buttons, see Form Toolbar and More Menu. The form-specific commands are listed in the following table.

Button Description
Transaction Details Navigates to the Inventory Transaction Details (IN404000) form, where you can view summary information about the inventory transaction.
Inventory Summary Navigates to the Inventory Summary (IN401000) form, where you can view the availability data of the inventory item.
Allocation Details Navigates to the Inventory Allocation Details (IN402000) form, where you can view how the inventory item from the inventory transaction is distributed among warehouses and warehouse locations.

Selection Area

By using the elements in this area, you can view in the table the data that is most relevant to your information needs.

Table 1. Selection Elements
Element Description
Period The financial period for which you want to view data. This is a required element.
By Financial Period A check box that you select to group the inventory transactions in the table by financial period.
Warehouse

The warehouse for which you want to view data.

This box appears only if the Multiple Warehouses feature is enabled on the Enable/Disable Features (CS100000) form.

Location

The location for which you want to view data.

This box appears only if the Multiple Warehouses and Multiple Warehouse Locations features are enabled on the Enable/Disable Features form.

Inventory ID The inventory item for which you want to view data.
Subitem

The subitem for which you want to view data.

This box is available only if the Inventory Subitems feature is enabled on the Enable/Disable Features form.

Important: The Inventory Subitems check box has been removed from the Enable/Disable Features form because the functionality associated with the Inventory Subitems feature will be phased out. If you have this feature enabled in your system, the associated functionality remains available. To disable the feature, contact your MYOB support provider.
Show Items Without Movement A check box that you select to display information on inventory items for which no inventory transactions were made within the selected period.
Table 2. Detail Level SectionYou use these check boxes to select the detail level of the data displayed in the table.
Element Description
Subitem Details A check box that you select to display the inventory subitem data in a single row of the table. Clear this check box to aggregate data and show the item summary information.
Warehouse Details A check box that you select to display the warehouse data in a single row of the table shown below. Clear this check box to show the summary information for all warehouses.
Location Details A check box that you select to display the location data in a single row of the table shown below. Clear this check box to show the summary data for all locations.

Table

This table displays the transaction summary data by using the criteria you have specified in the Selection area.

The table toolbar includes standard buttons and buttons that are specific to this table. For the list of standard buttons, see Table Toolbar. The table-specific buttons are listed below.

Button Description
Inventory Item Navigates to the Stock Items (IN202500) form to display information about the selected inventory item.
Summary Navigates to the Inventory Summary (IN401000) form to display the availability data of the inventory item.
Allocation Details Navigates to the Inventory Allocation Details (IN402000) form to display information about the allocation of the selected inventory item at the specific warehouse.
Inventory Transaction Details Navigates to the Inventory Transaction Details (IN404000) form to display detailed transaction data for the selected inventory item.
Table 4. Table ColumnsYour selections in the check boxes in the Selection area affect whether some of these columns appear.
Column Description
Fin. Period ID The financial period of the transaction summary data.
Inventory ID The inventory item for which the transaction summary data is displayed.
Subitem

The subitem for which the transaction summary data is displayed; this column is shown only if the Subitem Details check box is selected.

This column is available only if the Inventory Subitems feature is enabled on the Enable/Disable Features form.

Warehouse

The warehouse for which the transaction summary data is displayed; this column is shown only if the Warehouse Details check box is selected.

This column appears only if the Multiple Warehouses feature is enabled on the Enable/Disable Features form.

Location

The location for which the transaction summary data is displayed.

This column appears only if the Multiple Warehouse Locations feature is enabled on the Enable/Disable Features form and you've selected the Location Details check box.

Beginning Qty. The beginning quantity of the inventory item (at the start of the selected period).
Issued The issued quantity of the inventory item for the selected period.
Received The received quantity of the inventory item for the selected period.
Sales The quantity of the inventory item in sales operations for the selected period.
Credit Memos The quantity of the inventory item on credit memo documents for the selected period.
Drop Ship Sales

The quantity of the inventory item included in the drop ship orders within the selected period.

This column appears only if the Drop Shipments feature is enabled on the Enable/Disable Features form.

Transfer In The quantity of the inventory item transferred into the warehouse within the selected period.
Transfer Out The quantity of the inventory item transferred out of the warehouse within the selected period.
Assembly In

The quantity of the inventory item required for assembling the kits if the item is a component of a kit.

This column is available only if the Kit Assembly feature is enabled on the Enable/Disable Features form.

Assembly Out

The quantity of the inventory item added as the result of kit assembling if the item is a kit.

This column is available only if the Kit Assembly feature is enabled on the Enable/Disable Features form.

Adjusted The quantity of the inventory item on adjustment documents created within the selected period.
Ending Qty. The quantity of the inventory item at the end of the selected period.
Description The description of the item.
