Movement Classes

This form is available only if the Advanced Physical Counts feature is enabled on the Enable/Disable Features (CS100000) form.

You use this form to define, view, or modify movement classes, which are used to group inventory items for various inventory management tasks. The system assigns movement classes to inventory items based on the turnover rates of the items; use the Update Movement Class (IN506100) form to make mass changes to movement classes of items.

Table

This area has a table with the movement classes defined in the system. You can use this area to define new classes or to edit the existing ones.

Table 1. Table Columns
Column Description
Movement Class ID A one-letter ID of the movement class.
Description A brief description of this movement class.
Counts Per Year The number of physical counts per year to be performed for items assigned to this movement class.
Max. Turnover % A threshold value (%) of the criteria to be used for assigning the inventory items (in the specific warehouse in a specific turnover period) to this movement class. For details of the assignment method, see Inventory Ranking Methods.
