Opportunity Summary by Close Date

On this inquiry form, you can analyze the results of your sales team's work by viewing the total and weighted amount of the opportunities in the different stages, with the amounts broken down by the year, quarter and month of the estimated closing dates of the opportunities.

Selection Area

You can use the elements in this area to view opportunity data that meets your needs for information. You must specify the date range to be reported on, and you can specify additional selection criteria to narrow the range of opportunities included the amounts shown in the table.

Element Description
Start Date

Required. The start date of the date range when the included opportunities are estimated to be closed.

By default, the system inserts the first day of the previous quarter, which the system determines based on your current business date.

The estimated closing date of an opportunity is specified in the Estimated Close Date box on the Summary area of the Opportunities (CR304000) form.

End Date

Required. The end date of the date range when the included opportunities are estimated to be closed.

By default, the system inserts the last day of the current quarter, which the system determines according to your current business date.

Opportunity Stage

The stage of the opportunity for which you want to view information in the table. You can leave the box blank or select a specific stage to cause the table to show data that includes only opportunities in this stage.

Opportunity Class

The opportunity class for which you want to view information in the table. You can leave the box blank or select a specific class to cause the table to show data that includes only opportunities that belong to this class.

Business Account Class

The business account class of the business account associated with the opportunities for which you want to view information in the table. You can leave the box blank or select a specific stage to cause the table to show data that includes only opportunities associated with this business account class.

Contact Class

The contact class of the contacts associated with the opportunities for which you want to view information in the table. You can leave the box blank or select a specific stage to cause the table to show data that includes only opportunities whose contacts belong to this contact class.

Owner

The owner of the opportunities for which information should be displayed in the table. You can leave the box blank or select a specific owner to cause the table to show the amounts of only opportunities with this owner.

Table

This table shows the amounts of the opportunities that meet the selection criteria you have specified, with amounts distributed by stages, as follows:

  • If you have specified only a date range and no other selection criteria, the table shows one row per month in the specified date range, with the aggregated amounts of opportunities distributed between stages for the month.
  • If you specify any other criteria in addition to the date range, the table shows one row for each month that is within the date range only if at least one aggregated amount of opportunities for any stage is nonzero.
Column Description
Year The year of the month when the group of opportunities is estimated to be closed.
Quarter The quarter of the month when the group of opportunities is estimated to be closed.
Month The month when the group of opportunities is estimated to be closed.
Weighted Amount

The estimated amount of the opportunities for which it is possible to close a deal on the current stage in the specific month.

The amount is calculated as a sum of the following amount for each stage: the aggregated amount of opportunities multiplied by the probability of the deal closure at the specific stage. The probability is defined as a percentage for each opportunity stage on the Opportunity Classes (CR209000) form.

Prospect Amount The aggregated amount of the opportunities with an estimated closing date in the specific month and with the Prospect stage. This amount is also a link that you can click to view the full list of the opportunities included in the amount on the Opportunity List (CR3042SM) form.
Nurture Amount The aggregated amount of the opportunities with an estimated closing date in the specific month and with the Nurture stage. The amount is also a link that you can click to view the full list of the opportunities included in the amount on the Opportunity List form.
Qualification Amount The aggregated amount of the opportunities with an estimated closing date in the specific month and with the Qualification stage. The amount is also a link that you can click to view the full list of the opportunities included in the amount on the Opportunity List form.
Development Amount The aggregated amount of the opportunities with an estimated closing date in the specific month and with the Development stage. The amount is also a link that you can click to view the full list of the opportunities included in the amount on the Opportunity List form.
Solution Amount The aggregated amount of the opportunities with an estimated closing date in the specific month and with the Solution stage. The amount is also a link that you can click to view the full list of the opportunities included in the amount on the Opportunity List form.
Proof Amount The aggregated amount of the opportunities with an estimated closing date in the specific month and with the Proof stage. The amount is also a link that you can click to view the full list of the opportunities included in the amount on the Opportunity List form.
Negotiation Amount The aggregated amount of the opportunities with an estimated closing date in the specific month and with the Negotiation stage. The amount is also a link that you can click to view the full list of the opportunities included in the amount on the Opportunity List form.
Won Amount The aggregated amount of the opportunities with an estimated closing date in the specific month and with the Won stage. The amount is also a link that you can click to view the full list of the opportunities included in the amount on the Opportunity List form.

Side Panel

By using the side panel, you can continue viewing the inquiry form while simultaneously viewing information about the owners related to the aggregated amounts of the opportunities in the row selected in the table.
