Generate Book Calendars

Form ID: (FA501000)

By using this form, you can generate financial periods through the specified year for selected depreciation books (or all books) for which calendars were configured. The periods for the posting book are generated in accordance with the general ledger calendar. The periods for the non-posting books are generated in accordance with the book calendars you have set up on the Book Calendar Setup (FA206000) form.

Note:
If the Multiple Calendar Support feature is enabled on the Enable/Disable Features (CS100000) form, calendars can be generated separately for each company, and you can decide for which company new periods will be generated.

Form Toolbar

The form toolbar includes standard and form-specific buttons and commands. For the list of standard buttons, see Form Toolbar and More Menu. The form-specific commands are listed in the following table.

Button Description
Process Generates calendars for the books you have selected (by using the Included check boxes) in the table.
Process All Generates calendars for all books listed in the table.

Selection Area

In the Selection area, you can specify the range of years when the calendars of the selected books must be generated.

Element Description
From Year

The year to be used as the first calendar year of the books selected for processing.

The year you enter in this box must start later than 1/1/1900, otherwise the system will display an error message when you attempt to generate calendars.

To Year

The year to be used as the last calendar year of the books selected for processing.

The year you enter in this box must be later than the year specified in the From Year box, otherwise the system will display an error message when you attempt to generate calendars.

Table

In the table, you can view the list of depreciation books and select those for which you want to generate calendars through the year specified in the Selection area.

The table toolbar includes only standard buttons. For the list of standard buttons, see Table Toolbar.

Column Description
Included An unlabeled check box that you select to include this book for calendar generation.
Company ID

The company (by its identifier) to which the depreciation book belongs.

This column appears on the form if the Multiple Calendar Support feature is enabled on the Enable/Disable Features (CS100000) form.

Book ID The depreciation book, by its identifier.
Description The brief description of the book.
First Calendar Year The year that starts the book calendar.
Last Calendar Year The year through which the book calendar has been generated already.
