Reclassification History

Form ID: (GL405000)

On this form, you can view the list of transactions generated by the reclassification process for a particular original transaction. The original general ledger transaction is displayed in the first row of the table.

Form Toolbar

The form toolbar includes standard and form-specific buttons and commands. For the list of standard buttons, see Form Toolbar and More Menu. The form-specific commands are listed in the following table.

Button Description
Reclassify Opens the Reclassify Transactions (GL506000) form with the last transaction of the reclassification chain displayed.
Reclassify All

Opens the Reclassify Transactions (GL506000) form with all transactions displayed that can be reclassified.

This button appears on the form only if the reclassification history contains split transactions.

Reclassification History

Opens this form with the history for the entry you have selected (by clicking it) in the table of the form.

This button appears on the form only if the reclassification history contains split transactions.

Table

The table contains the list of general ledger transactions generated by the system during the process of reclassifying or splitting transaction or transactions. The first general ledger transaction in the list is the original general ledger transaction.

Column Description
Icon

The icon that identifies whether the selected journal entry is an original entry that has been split or a new entry that has been added in the process of splitting the selected journal entry. The following icons can be displayed in this column:

  • : The original entry that has been split
  • : The new entry that has been added in the process of splitting the selected journal entry

This column is hidden by default and can be added to the table only if the reclassification history contains split transactions.

Orig. Batch Number The number of the original general ledger batch based on which the selected Reclassification batch has been generated.
Action The action that has been performed for the line: Split or Reclassification.
Batch Number The batch number of the transaction.
Branch

The branch to which the transaction was posted.

This column is available only if the Multibranch Support feature is enabled on the Enable/Disable Features (CS100000) form.

Account The account to which the transaction amount was posted.
Description The description of the general ledger account.
Subaccount

The subaccount to which the transaction amount was posted.

This column is available only if the Subaccounts feature is enabled on the Enable/Disable Features (CS100000) form.

Project

The project specified in the transaction.

This box appears on the form only if the Project Accounting feature is enabled on the Enable/Disable Features (CS100000) form.

Project Task

The project task specified in the transaction.

This box appears on the form only if the Project Accounting feature is enabled on the Enable/Disable Features (CS100000) form.

Cost Code

The cost code specified in the transaction.

This box appears on the form only if the Cost Codes feature is enabled on the Enable/Disable Features (CS100000) form.

Debit Amount The amount that debited the specified account (if any).
Credit Amount The amount that credited the specified account (if any).
Remaining Reclass. Amount The amount that is left for a journal entry if a split process has been performed.
Transaction Description The description of the transaction (if a description has been specified).
Transaction Date The date of the transaction.
Post Period The financial period to which the transaction amount was posted.
