Form ID: (WZ202000)

By using this form, you can manage the tasks of the selected business process scenario. The scenario is represented in a tree format and consists of the tasks to be executed to complete some complicated process in MYOB Advanced.

On this form, you can add, delete and edit the tasks of the scenario, as well as arrange the execution order of the tasks.

Form Toolbar

The form toolbar includes standard and form-specific buttons and commands. For the list of standard buttons, see Form Toolbar and More Menu. The form-specific commands are listed in the following table.

Button Description
Activate Scenario Activates the selected scenario. You can activate scenarios that have the following statuses: Pending, Suspended, and Completed. When you have activated a scenario, it becomes available to users for execution, and its status changes to In Progress.
Suspend Scenario

Suspends the execution of the selected scenario. When you have suspended a scenario, its status changes to Suspended. The statuses of its tasks remain the same and cannot be changed. A suspended scenario cannot be activated by running the schedule.

You can suspend scenarios that have the following statuses: Pending, In Progress, and Completed.

Complete Scenario Completes the selected scenario by force. When a scenario is completed, its status changes to Completed. Its Pending tasks remain Pending; the Open and In Progress tasks change statuses to Skipped. Completed scenarios can be activated manually or by running the schedule. You can edit the settings of the completed scenarios.
Note: The system also assigns a scenario the Completed status automatically when all the tasks of the scenario are completed.

You can complete scenarios that have the In Progress status only.

Summary Area

In this area, you can select the scenario to be edited and review the status of the scenario.

Element Description
Scenario Name The name of the scenario. To open a particular scenario on the current form, select the name of the required scenario.
Status The execution status of the scenario, which is assigned by the system. It can be one of the following:
  • Pending: The scenario has never been executed and is pending for activation. The system assigns this status to a newly created and saved scenario.
  • In Progress: The scenario is activated. The system assigns this status to a scenario after you have clicked the Activate Scenario button.
  • Suspended: The scenario is suspended. The system assigns this status to a scenario after you have clicked the Suspend Scenario button.
  • Completed: The scenario is completed. The system assigns this status to a scenario after you have clicked the Complete Scenario button. This status is also assigned to the scenario automatically when all the tasks of the scenario are completed.

Navigation Tree Pane

On the navigation tree pane, you can add tasks to or delete tasks from the scenario, as well as change the order of the tasks as you need. By clicking the task name, you can view information about the selected task in the Task Summary area.

The tree pane toolbar includes standard and form-specific buttons. For descriptions of standard buttons, see Form Toolbar and More Menu. The form-specific buttons are used to arrange the tasks order according to the hierarchical structure of the scenario. They are described below.

Button Description
Move Row Up Moves the selected item one position up in the list of the same-level items—that is, changes the order of tasks.
Move Row Down Moves the selected item one position down in the list of the same-level items—that is, changes the order of tasks.
Move Row Left Moves the selected item one level up in the list of items. You can move the task until the root level of the tree.
Move Row Right Moves the selected item one level down in the list of items—that is, creates a subtask of the previous task.

Task Summary Area

In this area, you can enter the name of a new task, or edit the name of a task that is selected in the tree pane. Here you can also view and edit information related to the selected task, which is described below.

Element Description
Attach file Gives you the ability to attach a file to the task. You can upload a file from the computer or specify the link for uploading a file from the network.

Notes Gives you the ability to attach any text note to the task.

Name The name of the task. You can edit this name.
Status The status of the task.

For the detailed description of the statuses, see <Scenario Name>.

Note: We recommend that you leave the default status during task creation.
Optional A check box that indicates (if selected) that the execution of the task is optional.
Assigned To The user who is responsible for executing the task. You can select a user from the list.
Completed By A read-only box that contains the name of the user who has completed the task. The system fills in this box automatically when the task is completed.

Details Tab

This tab should contain information that can help the user to complete the task. You can add, edit, and format any information that might help a user to execute the task, such as instructions, links to help topics, and descriptions of the task.

Screen Details Tab

On this tab, you can specify the screen ID of the form on which a user can execute the task (if the task should be executed on a particular form), and select the import scenario if you need to upload some data (for example, to upload a list of customers).

Element Description
Screen Name The ID of the form on which a user can execute the task. You can select an appropriate screen name from the list.
Import Scenario The name of the import scenario that is required for executing the task. You can select a scenario from the list (if one exists).

Predecessors Tab

This tab contains the list of tasks that have to be completed before the selected task can be executed.

Column Description
Predecessor Name The name of the predecessor task. In the row, you can select a task that has to be completed before the selected task becomes available for execution; its status will change to Open. You can add as many predecessor tasks as needed.
Status A read-only box that shows the status of the predecessor task in this row.

Successors Tab

This tab contains the list of tasks that can be started only when the task you are creating is completed—that is, the tasks that will not be available for execution (will not get the Open status) until the task you are creating on this form is completed.

Column Description
Successors Name The name of the task that becomes available for execution only after the execution of the selected task. The system fills in this row automatically when you have specified the selected task as a predecessor for another task.
Status A read-only box that shows the status of the successor task.

Subtasks Tab

This tab contains the list of subtasks (if any) of the task on the current form.

Column Description
Name The name of the subtask. This column is filled in automatically by the system when you have added the subtasks for the selected task (if needed).
Optional A read-only check box that indicates (if selected) that the subtask is optional. This setting is specified during subtask creation.
Status A read-only box that shows the status of the subtask.

Features Tab

On this tab, you need to select the feature or multiple features that have to be enabled in the system for execution the task you are creating on the current form. During scenario activation, the system will check whether the specified features are enabled. If the required features are not enabled, the system will mark the task as Disabled.

Column Description
Required A check box that you select if the feature in the row is required for task execution.
Feature The name of the feature.
