Pausing an Employee's KiwiSaver Contributions

If an employee has applied for and received a KiwiSaver savings suspension, you have to update their Pay Details form (MPPP2310). On the Standard Pay tab, enter an Expiry Date for your KiwiSaver employee and employer pay item. Your employee needs to tell you the date their savings suspension begins.

When processing a pay with an employee who has paused their contributions, the KiwiSaver does not come through and shows as zero calculated value.

When the employee's savings suspension ends, go to the Standard Pay tab of the Pay Details form and remove the expiry dates for your KiwiSaver pay items.
