Setting Up Public Holidays (AU)
Before you can start creating public holiday batches, set up the following:

One or more calendars giving the dates for Public Holidays must be set up on the Work Calendars screen (CS209000) using the Exceptions Tab.

One or more public holiday entitlements must be set up on the Entitlements screen (MPPP3300). Entitlements for public holidays should have the Leave and Non-Accruing Entitlement options ticked.

Pay items must be set up for entitlement on the Pay Items screen (MPPP2210).

Default public holiday pay items must be specified for each pay group using the Default Public Holiday Pay Item column on the Pay Groups screen (MPPP2710).

A numbering sequence must be selected for the Public Holiday Batch Numbering Sequence field on the Payroll Preferences screen (MPPP1100).
