Setting Up Public Holidays (AU)

Before you can start creating public holiday batches, set up the following:

  • One or more calendars giving the dates for Public Holidays must be set up on the Work Calendars screen (CS209000) using the Exceptions Tab.

  • One or more public holiday entitlements must be set up on the Entitlements screen (MPPP3300). Entitlements for public holidays should have the Leave and Non-Accruing Entitlement options ticked.

  • Pay items must be set up for entitlement on the Pay Items screen (MPPP2210).

  • Default public holiday pay items must be specified for each pay group using the Default Public Holiday Pay Item column on the Pay Groups screen (MPPP2710).

  • A numbering sequence must be selected for the Public Holiday Batch Numbering Sequence field on the Payroll Preferences screen (MPPP1100).
