Project Transaction Visibility by Account Group

By using this form, you can create restriction groups for managing the visibility of project transactions with particular account groups by including or excluding these account groups in the restriction groups. For more information about restriction groups, see Restriction Groups in MYOB Advanced.

Summary Area

In this area, you can enter the settings of a new restriction group or select an existing group and edit its settings.

ElementDescription
Group NameThe name of the restriction group. You can type a name of the new group or select an existing group.
DescriptionThe description of the restriction group. You can type a description if this box is empty or edit the existing description.
Group TypeThe type of the restriction group. You can select one of the following types: A, A Inverse, B, or B Inverse.

ActiveA check box that indicates (if selected) that the restriction group is active. You can clear the check box to make the group inactive, which means that restrictions imposed by the restriction group do not affect the visibility of entities to users.

By default, this check box is selected.

Users Tab

On this tab, you can view the list of users defined in the system and select those to be included in the restriction group.

The table toolbar includes only standard buttons. For the list of standard buttons, see Table Toolbar.

IncludedAn unlabeled check box that indicates (if selected) that this user is included in the restriction group.
LoginRead-only. The username of the user.
Full NameRead-only. The full name of the user.
CommentRead-only. The additional information that has been specified for the user on the Users (SM201010) form.

Account Groups Tab

On this tab, you can view the list of account groups defined in the system and select those to be included in the restriction group.

Note: The restrictions configured for project account groups do not affect the visibility of account groups on the Balances tab of the Projects (PM301000) form. That is, the system still show the total balances by each account group regardless of the access rights of a user. The user with insufficient access rights for a particular account group will not able to review the detail information for the project transactions that include this account group.

Column Description
Included An unlabeled check box that indicates (if selected) that this account group is included in the restriction group.
Account Group ID Read-only. The account group that can be included in the restriction group.
Description Read-only. The description of the account group.
