Configuration of MYOB Advanced

To configure your MYOB Advanced instance, you need to sign in to MYOB Advanced with an administrator account and do the following:

  1. Enable the Salesforce Integration feature on the Enable/Disable Features (CS100000) form.
  2. On the Countries/States (CS204000) form, disable state and postal code validation for all necessary countries. For details, see To Disable State and Postal Code Validation. Because you have already configured validation rules in Salesforce (as described in Configuration of Salesforce), this step is optional.
  3. On the Data Providers (SM206015) form, configure the Salesforce Sync data provider, which is predefined in the system, and mark it as active. For details, see To Configure the Salesforce Data Provider.
  4. On the Import Scenarios (SM206025) and Export Scenarios (SM207025) forms, review and modify (if needed) the predefined import and export scenarios to be used for the synchronization of data between MYOB Advanced and Salesforce. (For details, see To Configure Predefined Integration Scenarios.) Alternatively, you can create new integration scenarios from scratch.
  5. On the Salesforce Sync (SF205020) form, review and modify (if needed) the predefined configuration of entities to be synchronized. For details, see To Set Up Data Synchronization in MYOB Advanced.
  6. On the Salesforce Data Resync (SF205035) form, activate the predefined schedule Failed & Missed Data Resync every 5 minutes so that the system repeatedly attempts to resynchronize the data for which synchronization previously failed. For details, see To Activate the Predefined Periodic Schedule.
  7. On the Salesforce Sync (SF205030) form, create an automation schedule to repeatedly initiate real-time synchronization of data. This will automatically resume the real-time synchronization process on such occasions as when the server has been restarted due to maintenance issues. For details, see To Create a Salesforce Sync Schedule.
  8. On the Salesforce Data Resync form, create an automation schedule to repeatedly initiate the full resynchronization of data. This will automatically synchronize the data missed by the real-time synchronization process, which may occur (although rarely) because the remote system discards notifications about modified records from the data stream after the retention period of 24 hours expires. For details, see To Create a Schedule for Full Data Resync.
