Exchange Synchronization Process

You use this form to perform and schedule synchronization with Microsoft Exchange.

Form Toolbar

The form toolbar includes standard and form-specific buttons and commands. For the list of standard buttons, see Form Toolbar and More Menu. The form-specific commands are listed in the following table.

Button Description
Process Initiates synchronization for accounts of the employees you have selected in the table.
Process All Initiates synchronization for all the employees listed in the table.

Selection Area

You use this area to filter the employee accounts for which you want to perform synchronization.

Element Description
Exchange Server The Exchange server with which the employee accounts are synchronized.
Policy Name The name of the synchronization policy assigned to the employee accounts.

Table

In this table, you can select the employee accounts for which the synchronization will be performed when you run the synchronization process.

The table toolbar includes standard buttons and buttons that are specific to this table. For the list of standard buttons, see Table Toolbar. The table-specific buttons are listed below.

Button Description
Synchronization Status Opens the Synchronization Status dialog box, which you use to view the synchronization log for the selected employee account.

Column Description
Selected The check box you select to synchronize the employee account in MYOB Acumatica with his or her Exchange mailbox.
Server ID The Exchange server account used to perform synchronization.
Email Address The employee's email address.
Email Account ID The name of the employee for whom synchronization is configured.
Employee ID The ID of the employee for whom synchronization is configured.
Policy Name The synchronization policy to be applied during synchronization.

Synchronization Status Dialog Box

In this dialog box, you can see when the last synchronization for the selected employee account has been performed. Additionally, you can view a log of events for both the server and the account.

Element Description
Server ID The Exchange server account used to perform synchronization.
Contacts Export Date The date when the contacts were last exported from MYOB Acumatica.
Tasks Export Date The date when the tasks were last exported from MYOB Acumatica.
Events Export Date The date when the events were last exported from MYOB Acumatica.
Emails Export Date The date when the emails were last exported from MYOB Acumatica.
Email Address The email account that has been synchronized.
Contacts Import Date The date when the contacts were last imported into MYOB Acumatica.
Tasks Imported Date The date when the tasks were last imported into MYOB Acumatica.
Events Imported Date The date when the events were last imported into MYOB Acumatica.
Emails Imported Date The date when the emails were last imported into MYOB Acumatica.
The dialog box has the following buttons:
Reset Multiple buttons, one for each type of synchronizable items (contacts, tasks, events, and emails). If you modify an item's exported or imported date and then click the button, next time synchronization is run, the system will export or import the changes that have been made to all items of the type since the specified date.
Clear Log Clears the log for the selected account.
Reset Warning Clears the warning (if any) that is displayed for the selected account in the table on this form.
Close Closes the dialog box.

Column Description
Level

The level of the system message, which can be one of the following:

  • Critical: A critical failure
  • Error: An error
  • Warning: An non-critical event with a warning
  • Informational: A basic event
  • Verbose: A trivial event or change

You can select the level of the reported events for the Exchange server account on the Exchange Server Configuration (SM204015) form.

Operation Date The date of the operation.
Message The system message.
