To Set Up the Connection with DeviceHub

The DeviceHub application is a Windows application that is used for integrating MYOB Advanced with hardware devices. To set up the connection between DeviceHub and the MYOB Advanced instance, do the following:

  1. Navigate to Start > Programs > Acumatica > Acumatica DeviceHub to view the DeviceHub main window.
Note: DeviceHub must be run with administrator privileges; otherwise, some of its functions may be unavailable.
  2. In the application main menu, click File > Configure to open the Configuration window. (If you are running DeviceHub for the first time, the Configuration window opens automatically.)
  3. In the DeviceHub ID box, enter the unique identifier to be used for this DeviceHub instance. (Because DeviceHub is associated with a particular tenant in MYOB Advanced, in a multicompany configuration, the administrator needs to install and configure a separate DeviceHub instance for each company.)
  4. On the Connection tab, specify the following parameters:
    • URL: The URL of the configured MYOB Advanced instance for which DeviceHub is configured (for example, (http://localhost/AcumaticaDB).
    • Login: The user login that DeviceHub will use to connect to the MYOB Advanced instance.
Tip: We recommend that you create a separate MYOB Advanced user account with the Administrator user role, so that DeviceHub can connect to MYOB Advanced by using this user account and perform the required actions.
    • Password: The password that DeviceHub will use to connect to the MYOB Advanced instance.
    • Tenant: The login name of the tenant to which DeviceHub will connect. (If you have only one tenant in your MYOB Advanced instance, leave the box empty.)
  5. Optional: In the Connection timeout section, change the default values in the Send for _ sec and Receive for _ sec boxes to specify the connection timeouts.
  6. Click OK.
  7. Sign in to the MYOB Advanced instance for which you have configured DeviceHub.
  8. On the Enable/Disable Features (CS100000) form, click Modify on the form toolbar, and select the DeviceHub check box under the Monitoring & Automation group. On the form toolbar, click Enable.
