To Use Categories in Wikis

Categories are distinct classes that divide wiki articles into types. You can use the Wiki Categories (SM200523) form to define categories for wiki articles and manage articles included in a category.

When you create a new article, you can select one category or multiple categories for it, based on the article content. You can assign one category to articles in different wikis. When you perform a search, you can select the category of the articles to be searched.

To Add a New Category

You can add a category on the Wiki Categories (SM200523) form as follows:

  1. Open the Wiki Categories form.
  2. In the Category ID box of the Summary area, type a short name for the new category.
  3. In the Category Name box, type a more descriptive name for the new category.
  4. On the form toolbar, click Save.
