Handling Employee Work Pattern Changes
When an employee's work pattern changes, you need to update their work calendar.
If there are temporary changes (e.g. they've picked up an extra shift on a public holiday), you need to manually update the work hours fields on the Employee Pay Groups (MP.PP.22.50) form.
If there are permanent changes (e.g. they're moving from part-time to full-time work), you need to assign them a different work calendar in two places:
- On theEmployees form (EP.20.30.00), edit the Calendar field of the General tab.
- On the Employee Pay Groups form, double-click an empty part of the Calendar ID field to edit it. Don't click the calendar name that's already in the field, as this just opens the Work Calendar form in a new window. Making the cell wider makes this easier.
