Running the PTRS Report
After making sure your suppliers have ABNs and identifying which suppliers are small businesses, you're ready to do your PTRS report. MYOB Acumatica automatically calculates the PTRS information you need, but you have to review the calculations to ensure they're correct.
Calculating PTRS information
- Go to the PTRS Report Preparation form (MYPT3000).
- On the toolbar, click the plus icon (+) to start a new report.
- In the Company field, select the company that is the main reporting entity.
- In the Entity Information section:
- Enter the company's ACN and ARBN.
- Optionally, enter the approver's name and approval date.
- If your company charges procurement fees, offers supply chain finance or has payment rules, select the relevant checkbox.
- To include multiple companies in the report, add them in the Other Companies field.
- Set the Reporting Period Start Date and Reporting Period End Date
fields. The fields in the Report Calculations section are
automatically calculated.Note:If the start date is after 1 July 2024, the Generate PTR button on the toolbar is inactive – you can't click it to generate a report file. It's only active for earlier start dates. This is because the Payment Times Reporting portal requires you to manually enter your report information after 1 July 2024, instead of submitting it as a file.
Reviewing PTRS calculations
When reviewing the Report Calculations section, you can edit any field to correct a miscalculation. For detailed information about the calculations, see the Australian government's Payment Times Reporting Scheme guidance materials.
If you change the company or reporting period dates after editing a field, it will be overwritten with an automatic calculation. So you might need to make your correction again.
Submitting a PTRS report
Once you've reviewed the PTRS calculations and made any necessary changes, you can refer to the PTRS Report Preparation form while manually entering your report on the Payment Times Reporting Portal.
