Production Processing: Related Report and Inquiry Forms

In the following sections, you can find details about the reports and inquiry forms you may want to review to gather information about the production processing.

Attention: If you do not see a particular report or form that is described, you may have signed in to the system with a user account that does not have access rights to the report or form. Contact your system administrator to obtain access to any needed reports or forms.

Printing Production Tickets

To prepare a printable form of the production order that is being processed, you can use the Production Ticket (AM625000) or Production Ticket with Barcode (AM625010) report.

Viewing Production Orders

To view production orders that have the Planned, Released, or In Process status, you can use the Production Summary (AM625200) report.

You can also view all production orders created in the system by using the Production Summary (AM000006) form.

Viewing Production Order Progress and Performance

To analyze the progress and performance of all production orders or a particular production order, you can use the Production Order Performance (AM652000) form. This report shows the following information:

  • Planned production costs, actual production costs, and variance between the planned and actual costs
  • Material and labor transactions and costs
  • Performance data by sales order demand

Viewing Production Transactions

To view information about production-related transactions (such as labor and material transactions), you can use the following reports and inquiries:

Viewing the Work-in-Process Balance

To view the balance of the Work in Process account, which contains the costs of the items in production orders that have the In Process or Completed status, you can use the Work in Process (AM654000) report.

Viewing Production Orders by Work Centers

To view the list of operations in the production orders assigned to work centers, you can use the Work Center Dispatch (AM651000) report or the Work Center Dispatch (AM000007) form.

Viewing Labor Efficiency for Production Orders

To view and analyze the labor efficiency of the employees involved in production, you can use the Production Order Labor Efficiency (AM653000) report.

Tracking Material Availability and Production Readiness

To quickly assess whether orders can be initiated based on material availability, you can use the Production Orders by Build Capability (AM409000) form. Each production order displayed on this form is assigned a readiness status. Color coding is applied to highlight the readiness of production orders, particularly those with insufficient materials for production. The following readiness statuses are available:

  • Ready to Produce (dark green): All materials are available to produce the remaining quantity.
  • Partially Ready to Produce (light green): Materials are sufficient to produce a portion of the remaining quantity.
  • Ready to Start (yellow): Materials are available to complete the first operation.
  • Not Ready (red): Materials are insufficient to complete the first operation.
