Modern UI Files

On this page, you manage the custom files related to the Modern UI of any number of forms in the customization project. A custom file contains code for the customization of the Modern UI of a form.

Tip: You open the Modern UI Files page by clicking Modern UI Files in the navigation pane of the Customization Project Editor.

Page Toolbar and More Menu

The page toolbar includes standard buttons and page-specific buttons and commands. For the list of standard buttons, see Page Toolbar. The page-specific commands can be shown as buttons on the page toolbar, as commands on the More menu, or in both places. These commands are listed in the following table in alphabetical order.


Command	Description
Detect Modified Files	Runs the check for modified files and opens the Modified Files Detected dialog box. To do this, the system compares each file in the project (in the FrontendSources\screen\src\development folder of the instance) with the original file.
Export to Development Folder	Exports the customization files listed in the table to the development folder of the instance, which is located in the FrontendSources\screen\src\ directory.

Table 1. Modified Files Detected Dialog BoxThis dialog box opens when you click Detect Modified Files on the page toolbar if you’ve modified any files of the customization project in the file system. The dialog box lists all custom and customized files in the development folder. It contains the following elements.
Element	Description
Selected	A check box that you select to update the current file in the customization project.
Conflict	A check box that indicates (if selected) that the file version in the file system differs from the file version in the customization project.
Path	The path to the modified file.
This dialog box has the following button.
Update Customization Project	Updates the customization project with the file version from the file system.

Table 2. Add Files Dialog BoxThis dialog box opens when you click Add New Record on the page toolbar. It contains a table with the files in the development folder, which you can add to the customization project.
The table toolbar includes only standard buttons. For the list of standard buttons, see Table Toolbar.
Element	Description
The table in this dialog box contains the following columns.
Selected	A check box that indicates (if selected) that this file will be added to the customization project.
Path	The path to the file.
Modified	The date when the file was modified.
Size	The size of the file.
This dialog box has the following buttons.
Save	Adds the selected files to the table on the page and closes the dialog box.
Cancel	Closes the dialog box without adding any files to the page.

Table 3. Edit File Dialog BoxYou use this dialog box, which opens when you click a link in the Object Name column on the page, to view and edit the selected file. The dialog box contains the following elements.
Element	Description
Work Area	The area where you view and edit the file.
This dialog box has the following buttons.
Save	Saves the changes you’ve made to the file and closes the dialog box.
Cancel	Closes the dialog box without saving any changes.

Table

This table contains the list of custom Modern UI files and their basic settings . The columns of the table are described below.


Column	Description
Object Name	The name of the custom file in the customization project. The name is also a link, which you can click to open the Edit File dialog box.
Screen ID	The ID of the form the custom file belongs to.
Description	The description of the custom file.
Last Modified By	The name of the user who last modified the file in the customization project.
Last Modified On	The date when the file was last modified in the customization project.
