To Track Changes in Wiki Articles

MYOB Advanced Wiki stores the versions of wiki articles, so you can track who made what changes and when. This capability provides the means to revert to a previous version.

Note: By default, article versioning is turned on.

To Control Versions of an Article

For a wiki, you can define whether the articles in the wiki should be versioned by default. This feature makes it easy to track changes and provides a "safety net" if undesirable changes have been made.

By default, version control for wiki articles is turned on. To control versioning for a particular article, do the following:

  1. Open the article.
  2. On the wiki toolbar, click Edit Current Article to open the Wiki Editor form.
  3. On the Properties tab, do one of the following:
    • Select the Versioned check box to maintain versions. After that, each time the article is edited and saved, a new version of it will be created.
    • Clear the Versioned check box to not store versions. If the article is new, only one version of it will exist in the system. If the article already has multiple versions, only the last version will be updated when you save it after making changes.
  4. Click Save.

For a versioned article, you can use the History tab of the Wiki Editor form to do the following:

  • View who edited it and when
  • Compare any two versions and view all changes
  • Delete selected versions
  • Replace it with any previous version

For more information, see To Compare Wiki Article Versions.

Note: The system stores all versions of files attached to the wiki articles. For more information, see Attachments: File Maintenance.
