User Maintenance

You define WebView logins, passwords, and other settings in Greentree Desktop's User Maintenance form. These settings apply to users, customers, suppliers, and salespeople.

Options Reference

Each option and field on the form is described below. Mandatory options and fields are highlighted in red.

Allowed WebView Access

Select this option to indicate the user can access the WebView module.

InformationThis defaults in the first instance from WebView Module Control. If this option is not selected, none of the other fields on the form are visible.

User name

The WebView user's login name. Leave this field empty if you select the Use email address as Web login ID? option.

Use email address as Web login ID?

Indicates the user's email address is used as their WebView login name. The user must have an email address specified in User Maintenance.

Password

The user's WebView login password. Leave this field empty if you selected the Use password as Web password? option.

Use password as Web password?

Indicates the user's Greentree password can also be used as their WebView password.

Menu

Select the menu the user will see when they log into WebView. If you leave this blank, the user sees the Default Menu assigned in WebView Module Control.

Account locked

Greentree Desktop updates this option. If it is selected, the user's account is currently locked. The authorised super user can deselect this option to enable the locked out user to log into WebView again.

Allow Export to Excel

Determines whether you can export WebView results to Excel:

  • Yes - The user can export WebView results to Excel if Page Maintenance allows this.
  • No - The user cannot export WebView results to Excel unless Page Maintenance allows this.
  • Never - The user can never export WebView results to Excel, even if Page Maintenance allows this.

Uses WebView Designer

Indicates that the user can access to the WebView Designer Page and Forms Maintenance forms.

InformationYou can change access to the Page and Form Maintenance forms using User Maintenance Menu Security.

Uses Financial Reporting

Indicates you can to set-up and view reports using the web using WebView Financial Reporting.

Note: You can change access to WebView Financial Reporting using User Maintenance Menu Security.
