WebView Module Control
Use WebView Module Control to define general module settings and to specify default user settings.
You can change these
settings at a user level using User Maintenance.
Options Reference
Each option and field on the form is described below. Mandatory options and fields are highlighted in red.
Timeout (Minutes)
This setting defines how many minutes a user's WebView session must be inactive for before it times out and the user is required to log back in again. When the user clicks in an inactive session, the login form displays.
Use Current Open GL Period Date
This is used by WebView Financial Reports. Select this option if you want data for the current period to display for the selected report.
Header and Footer
This section defines the WebView page header and footing settings:
- Server IP address - The IP address of the server that has IIS set up on it.
- Use http / Use https / Other - Select whether you will be using an http or an https URL (with a predefined standard port number) or Other (which will allow you to define a port number).
- Refresh - If changes are
made to the settings within the Header and Footer group box, this
setting determines how often they should be updated to the users:
- Next time - The changes will be checked and updated next time the OpenWeb server is restarted (and only once).
- Always - The changes will be checked and updated every time the OpenWeb server is restarted.
- Header URL - This is the
URL address of a customised WebView page header. If left blank, this
header displays:
- Footer URL - This is the
URL address of a customised WebView page footer. If left blank, this
footer displays:
Edit Manually
Edit the HTML code used to generate the header and footer.
Changes should only be
made by someone who has experience with HTML.
Default no of rows
A default that populates the number of rows set in Page Maintenance. You can change this setting for individual pages.
When records display in WebView, if the number of records is greater than the number of rows setting, the records exceeding that number displays on subsequent pages.
Default Menu
If no menu is specified for a user in User Maintenance then this menu displays when the user logs into WebView.
Keep Menu Open on Pages
Select this option to keep the main menu option on pages as the default.
Menu options Show
all and Hide all are available
within WebView so you can show or hide the menu as required, regardless
of this setting.
Web Access Defaults
These settings defaults against the user when defining their requirements for WebView. They are defaults only and can be overridden in User Maintenance.
- Allowed Web Access - Select to indicate the user will be allowed access to the WebView module.
- Use Email Address as Web login ID - If Allowed Web Access is selected, this will determine if the user's email address is used as their WebView login ID.
Web Access Security
This controls how to manage invalid login attempts.
- User - The user selected will be emailed when there is an invalid login attempt meeting the criteria specified here. Ensure the user has an email address specified in User Maintenance.
- Invalid Attempt Threshold - This is the number of invalid attempts the users are allowed before their account is locked.
- Invalid Attempt Duration - This is the number of minutes a user will have their account locked for if they go over the invalid attempts threshold. The user can't log in during this time.
Web Page Defaults/GL Account Enquiry
Select the web page to display when drilling into a general ledger account from a financial report. This must have been previously set up using Page Maintenance.
Check User not logged on from a Different IP
If you select this option, Greentree checks if the same user is already logged in from a different IP address and prevent them from logging in again.
