Shop Floor Kiosk Administration: Configuring the Kiosk Portal

When a kiosk portal is created for you, a record for it is created on the Portals (SP701000) form. This record is partly configured by MYOB support, but you need to finish configuring it yourself.

What is Set Up for You by MYOB Support

  • Portal URL: The full URL of the kiosk website.
  • Portal Name: A short identifier for the portal.
  • The sign-in page and the kiosk layout.
  • The branch, user role and licence for the kiosk.
Note:
Each tenant that wants to use Shop Floor Kiosk needs its own Modern Portal, and each portal needs a unique name and URL. So if you want to change portal names and URLs, a site administrator can do so on the Portals form as long as the portal has already been created by MYOB support.

What You Must Set Up Yourself

In the summary area of the Portals (SP701000) form:

  1. Enter the Portal Description, a descriptive name for the kiosk (for example, the name of the plant or site it will serve).
  2. Set the Portal Type to the Shop Floor Kiosk option.
  3. Select the Online checkbox.
  4. Save your changes. The portal becomes active and available at the URL you specified.
