Integrating the Project Editor with a Version Control System

If a customization task is large or complex or it is implemented by a group of developers, you might need to use a version control system for the customization project. The platform supports the integration of the Customization Project Editor with a version control system.

The Customization Project Editor includes the Source Control menu, which contains the following commands to integrate the editor with a version control system:

  • Save Project to Folder: Saves the customization project as a set of files to a local folder that is used for integration with a source control system. When you invoke this action, the system opens the Save Project to Folder dialog box so that you can select the name and location of the folder inside a repository.
  • Open Project from Folder: Loads the customization project from the repository.
