Variable Weights

The Variable Weights function is available only when the AP and/or AR modules are in use.

Use variable weights to stock an item in a standard unit of measure, such as each, but to also record variability in the item's weight.

For example, the item leg of lamb may be stocked as an each, but the weight of each leg of lamb varies. By applying the variable weight function, you can charge for the item based on weight (per kilogram) instead of being restricted to an each price that applies to all items.
