SO Packing Slip Maintenance
When a dimensioned sales order line is generated into a packing slip, the Estimated Weight and Actual Weight fields are visible at the bottom of the Data section on the Line Item form.
The estimated weight is taken from the sales order line, and is equal to the line quantity x weight assigned to the line item on the Inventory Item Maintenance form.
The Est Weight and Act Weight also display in the table. The estimated weight is read-only, but you can change the actual weight so it is the one used to calculate the final total price for the line item.
To update the weights, click the Actual Weight button and enter weights for each line. The Actual Calculator form displays.
If the Inventory Module Control option Replace line narration in AR with actual weights is selected, the line narration updates when actual weights are entered.
The Actual Weight value displayed in the Line Item form and table reflects the running total calculated the last time the Actual Calculator was accessed, and details were saved. Each time you access the Actual Calculator, all details on the form clear, you can re-enter individual weights, and Greentree Desktop calculates a new running total. If you don't enter new details, the Actual Weight value remains as it was using the last update from the Actual Calculator.
The line narration always reflects the last update from the Actual Calculator.
You can change the Actual Weight on the line. The narration does not update.
If you change the packing slip line quantity supplied after entering an Actual Weight, the Actual Weight field value does not update and you must re-enter details.
