Location Maintenance
Use locations if:
- An asset is at a physical location. The asset can be moved to another location — for example, when put on loan or being serviced.
- You can define a contract may be defined to cover a location.
- The support call keeps track of the location that the call is logged from or if the service request is required.
Use this form to define all the locations you require. You can define locations in a parent/child structure, creating a hierarchy of locations. You can define the type of location — for example, Service & Support or Spares Location.
You can set up locations and organisations on the Module Control form to have a specific type of relationship or no relationship. Depending on these settings, these organisation features display:
- Primary Organisation - The location is linked to one primary organisation. You can enter the primary contact for the location and other detail such as delivery address and profit centre.
- Valid Organisation - The location is valid for a number of organisations. These organisations display on this tab.
