Maintenance Tab
Use this tab to assign scheduled maintenance to a physical asset. You can:
- Add New Cycle - Click this button to open the Maintenance Cycle form. You must indicate when the next maintenance is due, enabling Greentree Desktop to schedule service requests. Saving the maintenance cycle copies it into the list of scheduled maintenance for the physical asset.
- Edit Cycle - Select a scheduled maintenance cycle from the list for the physical asset and then click the Edit Cycle button to open the detail record for the maintenance cycle.
You can link a maintenance cycle to a schedule type, such as repair or service. It can also be linked to a default job. Scheduled maintenance can be time or usage based — for example:
- Some assets must be serviced every six months - based on time.
- Other assets must be serviced after 350 production hours or after producing x-number of units. These assets are usage based.
- Some assets must be serviced on ad-hoc basis only. Click the Create Service Request button on the Asset Maintenance form.
The Maintenance tab is disabled when you create a physical asset. You must select the Schedule Maintenance option on the Security tab to enable the Maintenance tab.
Note: You can attach files — for example, PDF, images, .csv files, or signatures — to the tab by clicking the Attach Documents icon on the toolbar.
