Link the Maintenance Cycle to an Asset

On the Maintenance tab on the Physical Asset Maintenance form:

Note: If this tab is disabled, click the Security tab and then click the Maintenance option.

1. Select the schedule maintenance group.
2. Click the Add New Cycle button. The Maintenance Cycle form opens.
3. Select the template to link to the asset.
4. Click the Copy Template button to display the detail of the cycle template
5. Enter the Next Due date.
6. Save your entries.

   The maintenance cycle is added to the list of maintenance cycles for the asset.

7. Save your entries on the Physical Asset Maintenance form.

Carrying Spare Parts Over to the Maintenance Cycle

You can specify spare parts on the asset's Inventory tab. To carry these spare parts over to the maintenance cycle, to list them on the generated service request, do this:

1. Edit the maintenance cycle that you created for the asset by selecting the maintenance cycle on the Maintenance tab of the Physical Asset Maintenance form, then click the Edit Cycle button.
2. On the Maintenance Cycle form, click the Inventory button.
3. On the Maintenance Cycle Inventory form, click Add All Authorised to add all spare parts selected on the Asset Inventory tab.
4. Allocate spare parts by selecting the Inventory Item Code in the table. Press Enter to create another row.
5. Ensure that a Location is selected for each inventory item listed in the table.
6. Select the Allow Additions option to create additional spare parts when the service request is generated.
7. Save your entries.
