Job Costing Analysis

Before installing Job Costing, consider how jobs are structured for analysis.

The highest grouping of transactions is time and materials. You can further break down costs into direct purchases and stock. You can also use Cost Types and Cost Groups.

You can break your business down into Job Types, Statuses, Categories, Cost Groups, and Cost Types based on the business forms that you use. These include Creditors Invoices that you receive, Debtors Invoices you produce, information written on time sheets and job cards, and the like.
