Matrix Items: Configuration Prerequisites

Before starting to create matrix items, you must be sure that the system has been configured properly and that all required entities have been created, as described in the following sections.

Enabling the Needed Features

The ability to use the functionality of matrix items in the system becomes available when you enable the Matrix Items feature on the Enable/Disable Features (CS100000) form.

Configuring the System

Before you create matrix items in MYOB Acumatica, you need to make sure that the following is done in the system:

• On the Attributes (CS205000) form, the attributes that you will use for matrix items have been created, and the values that you will use have been specified. For more information, see Inventory Item Attributes.
• On the Item Classes (IN201000) form, an item class has been created for each template item that you will use to generate each group of related matrix items. For details, see Item Classes for Stock Items: Implementation Activity.
