Government Reporting: General Information

In MYOB Advanced, a user can generate Aatrix reports through the Government Reporting (PR504000) form. Aatrix is an integrated component of MYOB Advanced that gives your organization the ability to produce federal and all state forms. Aatrix reports use the information about ACA coverage, wages paid and taxes collected for each worker and for the entire company that is stored in the system. Users can also edit report data and electronically submit them to the appropriate government body.

Learning Objectives

In this chapter, you will learn how to configure the system to enable government reporting through Aatrix.

Applicable Scenarios

You configure government reporting so that your organization can prepare and file required reports to the appropriate government body.

Configuring Government Reporting

To enable government reporting in MYOB Advanced, you need to perform the following steps:

  1. In the Tax Registration ID box on the Company Details tab of the Companies (CS101500) form or on the Branch Details tab of the Branches (CS102000) form, you need to specify the employer identification number (EIN) that will be used for government reporting. Also, you will use this number to enroll for Aatrix.
  2. Enroll for Aatrix at https://efile.aatrix.com/. Aatrix does not collect any fees for the enrollment, and you need to have an active Aatrix account to have access to all the state and federal forms.
Tip: If you use an EIN that starts with 19 followed by seven additional numbers and no dashes, you will be able to prepare government reports in Aatrix for educational purposes but not file them.

Once you have completed these steps, you can use the Government Reporting (PR504000) form to open the needed state or federal form in Aatrix, which will open in a pop-up panel.
