Government Reporting: Implementation Activity
In the following implementation activity, you will learn how to enable government reporting in MYOB Advanced.
Story
Suppose that the SweetLife company wants to electronically file federal and state forms to the appropriate government body. Acting as a system administrator, you need to set up the system and enroll for Aatrix to enable the government reporting functionality.
Process Overview
In this activity, to set up government reporting in payroll, you will do the following:
- On the Companies (CS101500) form, you will enter the company's Employer Identification Number.
- On the Aatrix website, you will enroll for Aatrix.
System Preparation
Before you start configuring government reporting, you should launch the MYOB Advanced website and sign in as a system administrator by using the following credentials:
- Username: gibbs
- Password: 123
As a prerequisite activity, in the company to which you are signed in, be sure you have completed the Paid Time Off: Implementation Activity.
As a prerequisite activity, in the company to which you are signed in, be sure you have performed the activities in the preceding lessons of this part of the course.
Step 1: Specifying the Company's Employer Identification Number
To specify the company's Employer Identification Number, do the following:
- Open the Companies (CS101500) form.
- On the Company Details tab, in the Tax Registration ID box, type the EIN of the company.
- On the form toolbar, click Save.
Step 2: Enrolling for Aatrix
Enroll for Aatrix by doing the following:
- Open the Aatrix website by using the following link: https://efile.aatrix.com/
- At the top right corner of the website home page, click Enroll.
- On the Enroll for eFiling page, enter the registration information and save the
changes.Tip: In the EIN box, enter the number you have specified in the Tax Registration ID box on the Companies (CS101500) form.
As a result, you will have enrolled for Aatrix and can use the credentials of the new account when running an Aatrix report through the Government Reporting (PR504000) form.
