Forecasting

The Manufacturing Forecasting sub-module forecasts future inventory requirements based on historical sales. Greentree Desktop predicts sales for inventory items by using either linear regression or curve fitting methods.

The Manufacturing Material Requirements Planning (MRP) sub-module requires a forecast on which to base its requirements planning on. The forecast generation process creates this forecast based on adjustment factors and generation defaults.

When the forecast generation process runs, you can set a sales weighting that will weight sales up or down from the average, within a 90% confidence interval. The sales weighting can range from 0 to 100.
