Employee Details

Use this form to assign employee defaults for the entry and posting of timesheet transactions of the employee.

Options Reference

Each option and field on the form is described below. Mandatory options and fields are highlighted in red.

Manager

Select this option to be able to select the employee as a job manager for a job. Job managers can be used as an output filter when printing Job Cost Management Reports, or when viewing jobs using the View Jobs function.

Inactive

Select this option to make the employee inactive. You can't select the employee on the Timesheet Entry form.

Greentree displays a warning if the employee is assigned to any job as a job manager or account manager.

Profit centre

Select the profit centre that the employee is associated with. Where wildcards were used for Employee Type general ledger accounts, this determines the general ledger account to credit when a timesheet transaction is posted for this employee.

Employee Type

Select an employee type for the employee, which determines the pay rates and general ledger accounts for each type of employee.

Activity group

Select the activity group of the employee. A group is a collection of activities the employee can perform. Employees can only select the activity codes belonging to the group you select from this list when they enter timesheets.

Default activity

Enter a default activity code here for the activity the employee is most likely to spend time on. The default value is the transaction line when timesheets are entered for the employee. You can only select activity types, time, and disbursement.

Alternate code

Enter an alternative code to represent the employee. The field is used with the JC Create Timesheet Export File form. It represents the From and To employee codes used as filters to the process output. This provides an alternative code for the employee if the payroll system you are exporting to has a different code or format for employees.

Narration

Enter a narration to add information about the employee, up to 60 characters. This is for reference only.

Start date

Enter the date the employee started.

This is for reference only.
