Default Price Book Maintenance
This form is enabled if the option to Use default price book hierarchy is selected on the IN Default Price Book Hierarchy form. It defines alternative default price books for item and customer combinations that have been selected on the IN Default Price Book Hierarchy form.
Options Reference
Each option and field on the form is described below. Mandatory options and fields are highlighted in red.
Name
Enter a reference for the default price book collection.
Record Date Range & From/To Dates
Select this option if all default price books specified in the table are only applicable over a specific date range.
Method
Select the method for which the default price books you are defining apply. You can select any method that is included in the hierarchy defined on the Default Price Book Hierarchy form.
Details Table
The details enter is for the method you have selected. For example, if you select Customer Code or Analysis Code as the method, enter a customer code and an inventory analysis code.
You can define as many unique combinations as you like within a selected method, which enables you to default multiple price books for a single customer, using the type or class of item that the customer is purchasing from you.
After details have been entered, you can edit or delete them.
When you select an inventory item code in a transaction line, Greentree Desktop defaults the price book using the customer selected in the transaction header, the selected item, and the default hierarchy defined on the IN Default Price Book Hierarchy form.
