Financial Report Designer

WebView Financial Reporting enables you to view financial data in any number of reporting lines.

These are the components for WebView Financial Reporting that you must set up:

  1. Tree Maintenance - Defines levels of reporting.
  2. GL Account Tree Maintenance - Assigns general ledger accounts to the tree.
  3. User Maintenance - Enables users to access WebView Financial reporting using the web or from the reports menu.
  4. Style formats - Enables you to format report text — for example, bold, colour, size, and the like.
  5. Account Groups - Assigns reporting security around general ledger accounts.
  6. Row formats - Defines what you want to display horizontally on the report.
  7. Column formats - Defines what to display vertically on the report.
  8. Reports - Creates the reports that can be viewed using the web.
  9. Report Security - Groups reports for easy reference and added security.
  10. Web Note Types - Allows users to add notes to explain figures in financial reports.
  11. Report Schedules - Schedules regular sending of reports.
  12. Excel Header/Footers - Defines how header and footer information displays if the report is sent to Excel.
  13. Email Templates - Defines what emails will look like when reports are emailed.

Once reports have been set up, you can view them when the GL Report Menu page (of type Other) is set up using the WebView Page Maintenance form. That page is added to the WebView Menu Maintenance form.

You can find components 4 through 12 in the list above by selecting System > General Ledger > Financial Report Designer.

You can view financial reports with a custom column definition by selecting Reports > General Ledger and selecting one of these options:

  • Financial Reporting - Live: Users can run any financial report they have been given access to.
  • Financial Reporting - Published: Users can view any published report.
  • Create Financial Reports - Users can generate reports from a report schedule.

Note: You cannot view reports using the hard coded pre-defined formats.

Users must have a Reports and Document Library license to access financial reports.
