User Maintenance

You define WebView logins, passwords, and other settings on this form. These settings apply to users, customers, suppliers, and salespeople.

Options Reference

Each option and field on the form is described below. Mandatory options and fields are highlighted in red.

Allowed WebView Access

Select this option to indicate the user can access WebView.

Note: This defaults from the WebView Module Control form. If this option is not selected, none of the other fields on the form are visible.

User name

The WebView user's login name. Leave this field empty if you select the Use email address as Web login ID? option.

Use email address as Web login ID?

The user's email address is used as their WebView login name. The user must have an email address specified on the User Maintenance form.

Password

The user's WebView login password. Leave this field empty if you selected the Use password as Web password? option.

Use password as Web password?

Select this option if the user can also use their Greentree Desktop password as their WebView password.

Menu

Select the menu the user sees when they log into WebView. If you don't select a menu, the user sees the Default Menu assigned on the WebView Module Control form.

Account locked

Greentree Desktop updates this option. If it is selected, the user's account is locked. The authorised super user can deselect this option to enable the locked out user to log into WebView again.

Allow Export to Excel

Determines whether you can export WebView results to Excel:

  • Yes - The user can export WebView results to Excel if the setting on the Page Maintenance form allows this.
  • No - The user cannot export WebView results to Excel unless the setting on the Page Maintenance form allows this.
  • Never - The user can never export WebView results to Excel, even if the setting on the Page Maintenance form allows this.

Uses WebView Designer

Indicates that the user can access to the WebView Designer Page and Forms Maintenance forms.

Note: You can change access to the Page and Form Maintenance forms on the Menu Security tab of the User Preferences form.

Uses Financial Reporting

Indicates you can to set up and view reports using the web using WebView Financial Reporting.

Note: You can change access to WebView Financial Reporting on the Menu Security tab of the User Preferences form.
