Mobile Profiles


Mobile profiles filter the data that is available to a mobile device. You can also use profiles to limit users to only see what they need to see to perform their own tasks so that optimum performance can be achieved. You can set up as many profiles within a company as you require.

Profiles can be assigned to multiple users where applicable (via User Preferences), which avoids having to create separate profiles for each user.

Select Mobile Profiles within the Mobile Setup Wizard. Or, access this form using Greentree Desktop's System > Mobility > Mobile Preference Group Maintenance menu.

Data is filtered based on Greentree masterfiles, such as Inventory Items, Customers, and the like. Each masterfile will relate to specific mobile applications - for example. Customers relates to all customer/sales related functions, Inventory items to warehousing functions, and the like. Options available for filtering data include:

Include none

If you select this option, for the profile, no masterfile objects will download to the device.

Include all

If you select this option, for the profile, all masterfile objects will download to the device.

Base on condition

If you select this option, use the Set button to access Greentree Explorer so you can define your own query in terms of data to be included in the download set for the selected masterfile.

Mobile user assignment

This section of the form displays a list of users to whom the selected profile is assigned. Profiles are assigned to users using User Preferences.

Profile requirements for each applet must Include all or be Based on a condition for these masterfiles.
