QC Module Control
Use this form to set up system-wide Quality Control settings.
Options Reference
Each option and field on the form is described below. Mandatory options and fields are highlighted in red.
Analyst can be approver
Select this option to indicate whether an analyst can also be an approver. An analyst records results and either passes or fails individual tests against a serial/lot. An approver can pass or fail a serial/lot after all the individual tests have been completed.
This option is read-only if at least one QC person is set up as both an analyst and an approver in Personnel Maintenance.
QC personnel code is unique
Select this option if personnel codes set up using Personnel Maintenance are to be unique.
QC is assigned to a person
Select this option if QC tests are assigned to a person, rather than a team. If selected, tests are assigned to an individual person using Personnel Maintenance, otherwise they are assigned to a team using Team Assignment Maintenance. A team can contain any number of personnel.
Create QC record when serial/lot is created
If you select this option, a test record will be created when a serial/lot (requiring at least one test) is created. A test record is created for each new serial/lot. If you don't select this option, all serial/lot test records must be created using Inventory Test Results Entry.
|
You must create non-inventory test records as they are not automatically-generated by transactions. If you select this option, all relevant details must be entered in the Auto generate code form for inventory items. |
Not passed QC Status
Select a valid IN Status to be automatically assigned to serial/lots before they have passed relevant tests. This will typically be an in-active status which means any new QC controlled serial/lot cannot be selected in transaction entry forms until tests have passed and an active status is subsequently assumed.
IN test form
Select the Inventory Test Form to use when printing inventory item tests.
IN test results report
Select the Inventory Test Results Form to use when printing inventory item test results.
NI test form
Select the Non Inventory Test Form to use when printing non-inventory item tests.
NI test results report

Auto-generate Code Form
If you want generate test references, you must enter details for inventory and/or non-inventory items. If the option to Create QC record when serial/lot is created is selected, the automatically generate codes feature for inventory items is selected and becomes read-only.
