Transactions Tab


This tab contains account transaction information. For each transaction you can view details of the original transaction in the source form by drilling down on the transaction line within the enquiry table. You can also view narrations assigned to the transaction.

Options Reference

Each option and field on the form is described below. Mandatory options and fields are highlighted in red.

Select Period(s)

Enter the from and to calendar year and period of the enquiry.

Summarise (sort) by

Tran Type/Period

Select this option to summarise transactions by transaction type and period.

Batch/Period

This option is enabled if the GL Module Control option Use Batches is selected. Select the option to summarise transactions by batch number and period.

Transaction

Select this option to display all transactions.

Reference

Select this option to display all transactions (for selected periods) in reference order.

Transactions by

Posted

Select this option to display posted transactions only. This will be all transactions if the Module Control option to update transactions online is selected.

Unposted

Select this option to display unposted transactions only. This includes transactions that have not yet been updated to the general ledger (using the Update from Other Ledgers form), where the option to update transactions online is not selected in Module Control. These transactions do not affect the general ledger account balance.

Posted and Unposted

Select this option to display both posted and unposted transactions.

Total for Entries Shown

This value displays the total value of the transactions displayed in the enquiry, using the filters applied.

This field is read only.

Apply

Click this button to display transactions in the table, based on your selected options.

Purchase orders Enquiry

This button is enabled at the base of the form if the account has purchase order transactions for it. Click the button to open the PO Enquiry form, which will be pre-populated with details of the account selected when the form is launched.
