To Enable SSO with Google

Note: The information in this topic is obsolete. To configure single sign-on with Google, use the OpenID Providers (SM303020) form, as described in Integrating MYOB Advanced with Open ID Identity Providers.
After you have obtained the required credentials from Google, you have to enable single sign-on (SSO) and register these credentials in your MYOB Advanced instance for Google. To do this, you use the Security Preferences (SM201060) form.
Attention: This functionality is available only if the Google and Microsoft SSO feature is enabled on the Enable/Disable Features form.

To Configure SSO in the MYOB Advanced Instance

  1. Open the Security Preferences (SM201060) form.
  2. In the Allowed External Identity Providers table, do the following in the row that corresponds with the Google provider name:
    1. To enable SSO with Google, select the Active check box.
    2. In the Realm column, enter the full URL of your instance—for example, https://app.site.net/instance_name.
    3. In the Application ID column, paste the client ID generated by Google.
    4. In the Application Secret column, paste the client secret generated by Google.
  3. On the form toolbar, click Save.

After you have activated SSO with Google, your users have to register their Google accounts with MYOB Advanced by using the User Profile (SM203010) form, as described in To Activate Your Google or Microsoft Account.
