Stock Items: Configuration Prerequisites

Before starting to create stock items, you must be sure that the system has been configured properly and that all required entities have been created, as described in the following sections.

Enabling the Needed Features

On the Enable/Disable Features (CS100000) form, the Inventory feature must be enabled. The basic functionality of this feature provides one default warehouse and the ability to use stock items in the system.

Configuring the System

Before you create stock items in MYOB Acumatica, you need to make sure that, on the Item Classes (IN201000) form, item classes have been created for the stock items that you will enter into the system. For details, see Item Classes for Stock Items: Implementation Activity.
