Modification of Inquiry Results: Attachments to Generic Inquiry Rows

While working with a list of records on a generic inquiry form, a user can attach a file or note to a particular row of the table if this capability is permitted. For example, the user can attach a scanned document with a signature or important information for colleagues about a listed customer. When you design the generic inquiry, you can select the database table to which files and notes should be attached on the resulting generic inquiry form; you can instead prohibit any attachments.

On the Interface Options tab of the Generic Inquiry (SM208000) form, in the Attach Notes To box, you can select one of the tables listed on the Relations tab of this form, or the Not Applicable option.

If you select a table in this box, a user who’s working with the resulting generic inquiry form can attach files and notes to any of the listed records of the table. If you select Not Applicable, the user can’t attach any file or note to a record on the resulting generic inquiry form.
