Page Maintenance

Use this form to create pages that WebView users can see.

Options Reference

Each option and field on the form is described below. Mandatory options and fields are highlighted in red.

Code

Enter a code to represent the page, up to 30 alphanumeric characters.

Name

Enter an extended description for the page, up to 200 alphanumeric characters.

Page Type

The page type you select determines what additional information you must enter on the Main tab on this form:

Online Enquiry

If onlineEnquiry is selected as the page type, you can define the Explorer query to link to the page in the Query Details section.

Query

Select from a list of existing Explorer queries.

Click this button to open the Explorer query to view or modify it.

Import Query

Click this button to import an Explorer query.

Allow Export to Excel

Select this option to determine whether the user can export the results displayed on the WebView page to Excel:

# Rows to Display

This setting determines how many record rows displays on the page when it is viewed using WebView. It is taken from the WebView Module Control form when you are creating a new page. You can change it for an individual page.

When records display in WebView, if the number of records is greater than the number of rows setting, the records exceeding that number displays on subsequent pages.

Selection Criteria

This section of the form displays the selection criteria (if any), selected by the user in the Explorer query.

Query Columns

This section of the form outlines the display columns selected by the user in the Explorer query.

Field Name

This is the database label for the field.

Note: If you right-click the field name column within a row, you can select the Add Custom Script Column option.

You can return data based on a custom script. The script may see a runtime variable if variable data applies — for example, date ranges. When you select the option, the Script Editor for class form displays.

You must enter a password to edit the script. This is the same password used for Approvals & Alerts. Contact your Greentree support consultant for information.

Click Compile to ensure there are no errors, and OK to close the form. A new row is then added to the query column table to represent the script output.

Display Name

This is the name the user wants to display for the column when the enquiry is viewed using WebView. Click into the field to enter a display name.

Alignment

This is the display alignment for the column label and contents. Click into the field and select Right, Centre, or Left alignment.

Format

This is the display format for the column data. Click the Select button to edit the format. Select whether the data should be displayed as a number, date, boolean, or time. Further options displays based on the format selected.

Footer

Select None, Count, or Sum as the enquiry footer. If you select:

Filter

Select one of these, depending on the type of data that displays in the column: Select, Text, Numeric, and None. Each option enables a new selection row to display under the column headings when viewing a page using the web:

Allow Group

Select this option to group the column using the value in the column.

Drill Down

Click the <Select> button to link the page to another query or form when the records display using WebView:

Navigator

If onlineEnquiry is selected as the page type, this information displays on the Navigator tab. Any links to other WebView pages, forms, or menus display.

Online Web Form

If onlineWebForm is selected as the page type, select the Form to display on the page in WebView.

This information displays on the Navigator tab. Any links to other WebView pages, forms, or menus display.

GL Report Menu

If a page type of glreportmenu is selected, no further setup is required.

Online Report Form

If onlineReport is selected as the page type, select the Report to display on the page in WebView. When you select a menu item from WebView that is a report, a page displays listing all the selection criteria down the left side of the page. If any of the criteria are date related, click a calendar icon to select a date.

You can preview or print the report. If printed, the report prints to the user's default printer.
